Hello, My name is Nor Asyraf Adly Bin Ibrahim. You can call me Asyraf. I was born on January 18, 1997, in Klang, Selangor. I was studying in Institut Kemahiran Mara Beseri, Perlis ( IKM Beseri ). Course I take in IKM Beseri is Diploma of Technology Automotive. I like listening to music but I really love eating. I like sports among these are jogging because it is good exercise and keep me fresh and healthy. Many people think I'm quiet and shy, but I'm the total opposite once you have figured out my real personality. I hope you are enjoy reading my blogger. :)
In this semester, we were guided by one of the lecturers were are friendly and cute. She is Puan Norsyazia Binti Mohd Radzi and we call it a glamorous of Puan GG. She teach us how to communicate with each other and help to improve the ability to speak english effectively and with confidence. She's so hard to help us communicate in english very well and our stubbornness treat the patient while in the class.
UNIT 1
The first title that she teaches us is Speaking About Myself. In this title, she wants us all to know the background of each other by making introductions in the form of dialogue. Beside that, she wanted us to share a little bit about ourselves to classmates.
Next topic she teach us is Sharing Personal Information. At first, it was weird for me want I heard that teacher want to teach us about this title. Eventually, we understand about this topic and it take as a little bit of time. Teacher ask us to do a task by group. So, I was team up with my friend, that's Muhammad Hanafizi. After we the discuss about this topic, my friend and I decided to do like on picture 1.0.

After this topic, we learn about Describing Feelings and Opinion. So, teacher ask us to give our opinion and feeling about yourself. That's all I can tell because I forgot a little bit about this topic but I did not mean to forget it.
After we learn all about unit 1, we have to do an assignment that was give by our beloved teacher. This assignment need us to do in individual but before that we are divided into three group with three different interviewer. So I was in a group with Hanif and Akmal. We got our self a honest and spotting person that's Sir Ku Madzly ( as a L.I. officer )
Sir Ku Madzly deside to do on Thursday and he ask us to came went recess. So went recess we can to his office to do our interview with him. So each of us will enter his office by one person only. For my turn I was the last of my group to do the interview. When I enter his office I was very nervous, blur and scare. So I do my best of my best and the best of it. Each time his ask me a question it was so hard for me to answer it. Not because I cannot answer it, it because I didn't usually talk in English. So Sir ku Madzly push me hard until I became so blur and cannot thing of anything else. So want the interview end, it was very relieved for me. The following picture was taken after we complete our assignment with Sir Ku Madzly.
UNIT 2
For this unit, we learn about Speaking Accurately. In this unit, we will learn about Diphthongs, Monophthong, silent letter and word stress. This unit is all about pronouncing english word in a right way. Also using english in various communication situation, both formal and informal. Beside that, the vocabulary, grammar and many else are also learn in this topic. That why it is call speaking english Accurately.
So the teacher explain to us about Pronouncing Diphthongs Accurately. The meaning of Diphthongs is glinding vowel, refers to two adjacent vowel sounds occuring within the same syllable.There are five vowel sound of diphthongs such as -ou- / -oi- / -au- / -ei- / -ai-.
Beside that, teacher also teach us about Monophthongs. Monophthongs is almost the same as Diphthongs. The different between Monophthongs and Diphthongs is the glinding vowel. Monophthongs only have one sound while Diphthongs has two sound.
Monophthongs is a one tone and one mouth vowel. There are sum example of Monophthongs such as -yu:- / -ar- / -o:- / -u- and many else. This are example picture for Diphthongs and Monophthongs.
Beside that, teacher also teach us about Silent Letters. Silent letters are letters that can't be heard when the word is spoken. There are silent letters in some English words because over hundreds of years we've changed how we pronounce those words but kept the old spelling. The spelling tells us how the word used to be pronounced: eg in medieval times, people used to sound out the letter k in the word knock.
And the last topic in this unit is Learning Word Stress. Teacher teach us about word stress in many way but I prefer went she teach us using a song. The following picture is a lyric song that we sing in the class to find the word stress that was hidden in the lyric.
UNIT 3
In this unit, the teacher teach us about the Practice in Public Speaking. The first topic that the teacher teach us in this unit is Practicing the Language of Debate. Debate is a formal contest of argumentation between two teams or individuals. More broadly, and more importantly, debate is an essential tool for developing and maintaining democracy and open societies. More than a mere verbal or performance skill, debate embodies the ideals of reasoned argument, tolerance for divergent points of iew and rigorous self-examination. Debate is, above all, a way for those who hold opposing views to discuss controversial issues without descending to insult, emotional appeals or personal bias.
After we learn about debate teacher give us a task. The nine of us need to divide into three groups and each group has three member only. Hanafizi, Afiq and I make into one group for this debate. Next, teacher deside for us to face with another team that is Hazim, Imran and Helmi as our opponent in this debate. So in that time, we have to deside with the other team on what title of debate. Teacher give us one week to get ready before the debate. We are take easy of the debate. So we didn't prepare for it properly. So the day has came for us to debate. Teacher call both team to came in front of the class to debate. So both team came in front to debate. When the debate start,we try our best to debate with them but the other team prepare so well than us. So we loose badly. I fell sad because we didn't prepare very well for the debate. The other team move on to the next round. Overall,its a good fight between the both team,a fair fight and honestly the win is always for them,not us because their prepare very well for the debate. Next, teacher teach us about Speaking Extempore or Impromptu. Speaking Extempore is that we speak in front of people and more likely as public speaking. Speaking extempore is what we learn in this topic. Teacher teach us or in other word train us to speak in front of people. After we learn about speaking extempore,we were given an assignment by Pn GG. This assignment is in individually. When i heard individually, in my mind i think that i'm dead for sure but luckily teacher simplify for us to by pair or group that have two member in each group. So my partner is Muhd Hanafizi Bin Kamarulzaman. He is a hardworking and dedicated person but in English, he and i are both the same because both of us really not good speaking in English. We tried our best for this assignment even do we didn't prepare for it.
After finishing assemble the group, each team must think of a tittle that their gonna do on their presentation about speaking extempore. We really don't know what to think or what to do but after finish discuss with the teacher, we will do our presentation about Test of Courage. Test of courage is all about courage. we will do by bringing two box of mystery in it that a person need to find a ball in the mystery box.. So, the day has come for all of us to do our speaking extempore by class, we were the first team to present and luckily we got the same automotive program. Before starting the presentation,we both fell very nervous and not confident to do the presentation but with the support from our friend and teacher, we go in and do what we plan. When our presentation start, there many joyful, fun and laugh moment in it. After finish the presentation,it was a relieve moment for all of us especially for the both of us.

UNIT 4
In this unit, teacher teach us about Social Communication: Performing Language Functions. For this unit, I'm absent the day went teacher teach us about topic. But I will tell you a little that I know about this topic.
The first subtopic in this topic is Apologizing. We learn ways how to apologize to someone through conversation with a good and confident. Many ways to apologize to someone is we do anything wrong.

Next, we learn about Asking for Clarification. Asking for Clarification is important in many situations especially when what is being communicated is diffucult in some way. In communication, clarification involves offering back to the speaker the essential meaning, as understood by the listener, of what they have just said. Thereby checking that the listener's understanding is correct and resolving any areas of confusion or misunderstanding. This are an example in picture.
Also for this topic, I do it late then the others because I absent the other day. So for me, this topic is all about describing person with all the information that I get from everybody to describe a person. So I'm lucky because my friend Imran Fahmi still has the information that teacher give on the class to describe a person.
Then, the information that I got from my friend such as panda nose and lips, 2 sided long pony tails with fringe hair and also have oval eyebrows with cone eyes. So I start to describe that person by drawing in a piece of paper using the information that I have. After finish my drawing, it feel a little bit weird because of my drawing so funny like me. You want see my drawing, you can look it at the following picture.
UNIT 5
The last title in this unit is Speaking across the Curriculum. For this unit, there is only one topic and that's Reporting in the classroom. At first, teacher give us to find material in a story book but after discussion with all of us teacher give looseness to find the material in a movie.
For this task, we were divided into four groups. I was partner with Muhd Imran Fahmi Bin Ghazali. So we choose material from a story book titled Journey to The Center of The Earth. We were get this book synopsis through google.
Then, awaited day has arrived for last presentation with teacher for this semester,we were the first team to present in front of the class. We didn't expect that we are the first one to present but teacher just decide randomly. Never mine with that, we came in front of the class and present about The Journey To The Center Of Earth. We use a different method than the others. Example i was reading the synopsis while my partner write in the white about the main story such as main character,the fact about the story and other else. This picture is an example like i say earlier while the other picture is when we do our presentation about The Journey To The Center Of The Earth in front of the class.
So after finish our presentation,we take picture with teacher as a wonderful memory with the teacher.
My hope after Learning all this topic is that I can Improve my English language into a better level then before. Beside that, I hope that I can speak English very smooth in the future. Lastly, I hope that I can speak in front of people with confident and cool.
My hope after Learning English is to be a better man in speaking English.
